“KANADE Dance,” a computer graphic music video produced by animation studio Satelight Inc., was showcased at the annual SIGGRAPH Asia 2010 computer animation show in December.

At the show, Satelight demonstrated its advanced technological capabilities to CG professionals from around the world.

The conference, held Dec. 15-18 in Seoul, is the Asian version of ACM SIGGRAPH, a world-class conference on computer graphics. The Seoul event featured the latest computer animation works, developments in imaging technologies and technical papers from Asia and elsewhere. The Computer Animation Festival attracted particular attention.

“KANADE Dance” by the trio Clammbon is on their album “2010,” released in May.

Satelight and video artist Hibiki were chosen to make the song’s video, with Hibiki as director. Hibiki has worked with Satelight on other popular titles, such as “Macross Frontier” and “Basquash!”

The pair incorporated skills and techniques developed through their collaborations to create a lively video that is different from conventional anime works.
