Tokyo Broadcasting System Television Inc. is now streaming the “K-On!!” animated TV series on its TBS on Demand video website.
The series is now in its second season. All 24 episodes that aired for six months from April 2010, and three bonus episodes, are now available as streaming video.
The anime is also available on more than 30 major video streaming websites. It can also be viewed on personal computers, feature phones, smartphones and television, the broadcaster said.
It is the first time for the episodes to be streamed online. One of the three extra episodes titled “Keikaku!” (project!) has never aired on terrestrial TV.
“K-On!!” is based on a manga by Kakifly.
Kyoto Animation Co., which has created many popular anime titles, produced the anime adaptations.
The story revolves around a high school girl named Yui and her friends who join a pop music club. The story focuses on their carefree everyday lives and club activities.
In the second season, the girls have become high school seniors.
The anime became widely popular after the first season aired in April 2009.
Its popularity continues to grow. The first feature film adaptation is slated to hit movie theaters in December.
